I have extended the Dynamics CRM 365 connector with a pipeline that adds xDB contacts as leads in CRM instead of contacts.

My client has then added three separate fields in CRM that should be populated with values scored with behavior profiles (profile cards) set up in Sitecore.

This "should" be easy since the behavior profiles are somehow aggregated from the contact's interactions, and put on the contact object in the MongoDB document.

However, our client would like to only get the accumulated scores by "recent" interactions with the website, from let's say, the past couple of months.

I have been thinking about achieving this in a couple of ways.

  1. Somehow configure the aggregator to only collect interactions from the last couple of months.
  2. Writing a value reader that reads into the mongo Interactions collection and calculate the scores myself, assuming doing this for several hundred of thousands of contacts is an option, in the data exchange syncing process.

Does anyone have a different approach/suggestion?

  • The scenario makes me wonder if the expectation of the accumulated scores only considering recent interactions is only when it shows in the CRM or if it is a general expectation they have for the scores in the platform. On the later case you really want to go for option 1. – eglasius Jul 18 '19 at 15:59
