I'm trying to get use a scope that looks at two folders and two templates. I want my query to return all items using template A from folder A and all items using template B from folder B. I'm using the following query.

location:{folder A id};template:{template A id};location:{folder B id};template:{template B id}

The problem I'm having is this returns all items of template A, template B, and all items in folder A and folder B. I've tried adding the + to switch a condition to and, but this eliminates all items from the results (since folder A contains no items using template B and vice versa).

Is there a way to add and/or logic to the query, or some other way to get the results I'm looking for?

  • I wasn't able to find a solution to this, however I did find a work around. I added a base template with a checkbox to include in the scope for this page, then used custom:CheckBoxField|1 as my scope query. – craig41bl Jul 26 '19 at 21:02
