I am trying to configure a CM + Process Server for Sitecore 8.2 Update-6. We are on Sitecore Managed Cloud M3. I went through the steps in the documentation and enabled/disabled all relevant configs on my CM + all CDs.

When I look at Engagement Analytics, I see a lot of errors saying "... graph cannot be displayed due to a server error. Contact you system administrator."

When I look at the logs, I see a ton of errors like this:

6348 15:52:28 WARN Failed to process interaction with Id 8481a3db-9270-4274-aca7-5d91719c8be7 and ContactId {AA188C2D-2D0C-4569-AD00-2CBD2C978CEA}.
Exception: System.NullReferenceException
Message: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

I have read through other similar questions on here but those had to do with a Definition not found error which does not seem to be the case here.

I have had a Sitecore Support ticket open for a number of weeks now and they seem to be stumped as well!

  • That error seems to be either a connectivity issue with the reporting database or a failure in executing the SELECT * FROM [Segments] query. Can you get and validate a successful connection with the reporting database from your server? – Alessandro Faniuolo Feb 16 at 2:37
