I have setup synonyms for azure search for searching for products on our site. Our products are split into language specific entities. When I search for the product directly I get all language variation hits of the product. However when I search with the synonym I only get the english version. Note that the synonym is setup to hit data that is the same across languages. Further more when I search directly on the index on azure portal I receive the same results as with the direct search as it should be.

I can see that the returned data from my call to query.GetResults(); Has the following stacktrace error:

at System.ThrowHelper.ThrowArgumentOutOfRangeException(ExceptionArgument argument, ExceptionResource resource) at Sitecore.ContentSearch.Azure.Query.SearchResultIterator.d__9.MoveNext() at Sitecore.ContentSearch.Azure.Query.CloudSearchResults1.<GetSearchHits>d__15.MoveNext() at System.Linq.SystemCore_EnumerableDebugView1.get_Items()

And the following message:

Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name: index

This to me sounds like sitecore fails to read the return list from azure and only manages to get the english language version of the product before failing. Why it only happens doing synonym search I do not know.

Can anyone guide me in how to handle this situation and where to look for a solution.
