Commerce Catalog Management allows highly structured representation of categories, products (or services), and product variants across multiple languages and currencies. All the questions related to this topic, should use commerce-catalog tag.

When you set up a storefront, you must create a catalog, which is a container for one or more categories and is typically the first item you create in the business tools. You can use categories and subcategories to group products within a catalog and to organize the navigation of your storefront.

You can configure multiple catalogs for a storefront. Each catalog, however, can only be used by one storefront. By default, the Catalogs item (based on the Commerce Catalog Folder template) is located under the /sitecore/Content/<tenant>/<site>/Home item and this is where you configure the catalogs associated with the site and where the catalog content is stored.
