Looks like you are trying to install Sitecore 9.0.1 using Sitecore Installation Framework 2.0. If you used pre-requisites script to install all the prerequisites then it will automatically install SIF 2 but we need to have SIF 1.2 to install Sitecore without any change in the default script [shared by you].

So you have few options,

  1. Uninstall SIF2.0 and then install SIF 1.2 from powersehll or add the extract of SitecoreInstallFramework 1.2.0 rev. 180212.zip package to the following path: C:\Program Files\WindowsPowerShell\Modules\SitecoreInstallFramework
  2. If you want to run the script with SIF 2.0 then you may need to slightly modify the install script. I guess there are few questions which are already answered StackExchange on how to install Sitecore 9.0.1 or 9.0.2 with SIF 2.0, refer those.

  • Thanks. This was fixed by updating Prerequisites.json files. and giving proper place to certificates Commented Aug 20, 2021 at 6:17
