As this url itself says that Sitecore 10.3.2 has all the fixes of 10.3 update 1 plus few other changes include in this version.

Sitecore 10.3 Update-1:

Pros:

  • Official Sitecore update release, providing new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
  • Generally well-tested by Sitecore and the community

Cons:

  • Might not include the latest bug fixes and improvements found in later releases.

Sitecore 10.3.2 rev. xxxxxx PRE (Cumulative hotfix for Sitecore XP 10.3):

Pros:

  • Contains cumulative hotfixes, which might address specific issues you've encountered in Sitecore 10.3.0.
  • Can potentially save time if the hotfixes directly address your issues.

Cons:

  • Might not have undergone the same level of testing as a full update release.
  • May introduce new issues or conflicts, especially if your implementation diverges significantly from standard configurations.

Notes

  • If you require the latest features and are willing to invest the time in a full upgrade process, go with Sitecore 10.3 Update-1. This is the safest option for long-term stability and compatibility.

If you're facing specific issues in Sitecore 10.3.0 that are addressed by the cumulative hotfixes in Sitecore 10.3.2 rev. xxxxxx PRE, and you're looking for a quick fix without extensive testing, this might be the better choice.

Ultimately, before making a decision, it's crucial to review the release notes for both options, assess your project's specific needs and constraints, and consider factors such as timeline, available resources, and the level of risk tolerance. Additionally, testing in a non-production environment is essential regardless of the option you choose to ensure a smooth upgrade process.

Not quite a direct answer to your question... but Sitecore Version 10.4 was released this week.

If this is an option I would recommended checking that out: https://developers.sitecore.com/downloads/Sitecore_Experience_Platform/104/Sitecore_Experience_Platform_104

This way you don't need to worry about culmative fixes...

Upgrading directly from Sitecore 10.3.0 (XP0/XP1) to the latest version involves two options, each with its own advantages:

Option 1: Sitecore 10.3 Update-1**

Advantages: Easier upgrade path: This is the official update for Sitecore 10.3.0 and is likely to be a more straightforward upgrade process. Documented upgrade guide: Sitecore provides a documented upgrade guide for Update-1, making the process more predictable. Includes bug fixes and improvements: Update-1 incorporates bug fixes and minor improvements over the initial 10.3.0 release.

Disadvantages: Might not include all hotfixes: Update-1 might not encompass all hotfixes released since 10.3.0.

Option 2: Sitecore 10.3.2 rev. xxxxxx PRE (Cumulative Hotfix)**

Advantages: Most recent fixes: This option includes the latest bug fixes and security patches available for Sitecore 10.3.x. Might address specific issues: If you're aware of specific issues in your 10.3.0 installation, the cumulative hotfix might address them.

Disadvantages: More complex upgrade: Upgrading directly to a hotfix might involve additional steps compared to Update-1. You might need to refer to release notes and KB articles for specific instructions. Limited documentation: Hotfixes typically have less comprehensive documentation compared to official updates. Recommendation:

How to Decide

Choose Update-1 if: You prioritize a well-documented and supported upgrade path. You're not aware of any critical issues in your 10.3.0 installation that require the latest hotfixes.

Choose the hotfix (10.3.2 rev. xxxxxx PRE) if: You're aware of specific issues in your 10.3.0 installation that you want to address immediately. You're comfortable with a potentially more complex upgrade process involving additional research.
