I searched from the whole site while I didn't find this topic yet... During the installation, we met this exception and failed. Can anybody help us with this issue? Huge thanks in advance!

You can verify these possible cases to check the root of this error.

  • Check the SSL certificate of {website}.xconnect in IIS. Also please check the license file of .\Website\App_data\jobs\continuous\AutomationEngine\App_Data and thumbprint of .\Website\App_data\jobs\continuous\AutomationEngine\App_Config\ConnectionStrings.config file. There might be some problem there.

  • Or Grant permission to IISUser on the xConnect certificate

    • Right click on the certificate
    • Click on manage private keys and grant permission to IISUser

  • Or antivirus software may replace the xConnect SSL certificate. So disable this and try to install it again.

  • I have checked the xconnect certificate existed, and the license file is right, the thumbprint value in "App_data\jobs\continuous\AutomationEngine\App_Config\ConnectionStrings.config "is the same as the thumbprint value of xconnect_client ,I also grant permission to IUSER and IIS_IUSERS, but it also not work. In the log, I uploaded it shows 'Sitecore.XConnect.XdbCollectionUnavailableException: The HTTP response was not successful: NotFound' , what is the HTTP response screenshot

Here is some ideas you could check:

  1. Check IIS XConnect site is actually running. Also when you open the xconnect url check that it respons datetime on browser.
  2. Does Sitecore connectionstrings.config marketing automation url matches the one that is defined in IIS XConnect site.
  3. Do you have marketing automation service up and running on windows services.
